Texas law provides for pedestrian safety in an effort to minimize and/or prevent pedestrian accidents. Generally speaking, pedestrians have the right-of-way. However, often times circumstances don’t allow for enough time to stop and a vehicle will strike a pedestrian. We understand that even though we may all know the rules on right of way, life has a way of dictating events sometimes beyond our control. Weather, road construction, distractions and careless behavior can all play a contributing role in the events leading up to a pedestrian accident.
