Rod B. Khavari is a shareholder and founder of Khavari & Moghadassi, Attorneys at Law (K&M). He is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas. His practice focuses on civil and business law, including business formation and contracts, transactional work, immigration, and personal injury. With a strong belief in being proactive, he is dedicated to helping his clients foresee legal matters before they arise and taking steps to resolve legal issues quickly and effectively.
Mai Nguyen is an experienced attorney dedicated to fighting on behalf of her clients and is committed to ensuring the best possible outcome for each and every client.
Mai is licensed in the State of Texas and the Northern District of Texas. Her areas of practice include personal injury, civil litigation, and her true passion—criminal defense. As a criminal defense attorney, Mai has extensive experience in successful jury trials and negotiating favorable plea deals. Mai is able to obtain these results because she truly believes every client is innocent until otherwise proven guilty. Mai also understands that everyone makes mistakes and are often victims of circumstance, which is why she loves practicing criminal defense and zealously advocating for her clients.
Before becoming an attorney, Mai attended Baylor University where she was part of organizations such as Phi Alpha Delta and Sigma Tau Delta. Mai graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Political Science. After attending Baylor University, Mai earned her law degree in 2011 from Texas A&M University School of Law and received her license in November of 2011. While in law school, Mai completed internships with the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office and a boutique civil law firm.
In her free time, Mai enjoys staying active by running and riding her Peloton, cooking, reading, and spending time with loved ones and her adorable Yorkie, Tory.
Christian Havens is an attorney at Khavari & Moghadassi, Attorneys at Law, PLLC. As a dedicated advocate for his clients and broader community, Christian’s professional and personal philosophy centers around using his expertise and practical skills to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Christian is licensed in the State of Texas, and his practice is focused primarily on commercial litigation, civil rights, and personal injury clients. As a civil litigator, Christian represents a diverse array of clients, including small businesses, consumers, victims of police brutality/misconduct, and individuals involved in motor vehicle accidents.
Christian completed law school at Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2020. Prior to law school, he graduated magna cum laude from the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in Political Science. While at SMU, he participated in the Business Law Leadership Program and volunteered for the Vansickle Family Law Clinic.
As a former political consultant, Christian feels strongly about civic engagement and giving back to his community. Currently, he is proud to be a pro bono volunteer with the Dallas Evictions Advocacy Center, representing clients facing eviction, and was named Volunteer of the Month for March 2022. Christian also co-founded CitizenTex, a nonprofit whose mission is to increase civic and electoral engagement through political education, voter registration, and community organizing.
In his free time, Christian enjoys hiking, Peloton-ing, researching the best food options in Dallas, reading historical and political nonfiction, and maximizing quality time spent with his two cats, Louis (named after Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis) and Stacy (named after a short-lived character in the sitcom The Office).
Sidney Stubbs is an Associate Attorney at Khavari & Moghadassi, Attorneys at Law (K&M). She is licensed to practice in the State of Texas. She has a background in family law and experience in other areas of the law such as criminal defense. While attending Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Sidney worked as a Student Attorney in the area of family law, and law clerked for various criminal Judges. Sidney’s work ethic, her dedication, and compassion for her clients has helped her create an environment where her clients can feel respected, safe, and where their voices are heard. Her goal is to provide quality service and get the best results possible for all of her clients.
Outside of the office, Ms. Stubbs enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and traveling. She also stays active in her community by serving at her church, Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship.
