A couple of months ago, in the midst of the many tragedies that have come about in the United States, letters were sent out to several federal buildings enclosing a highly toxic substance inside and there has been an on-going investigation ever since. An arrest has now been made and lucky no one has been hurt so far but there is definitely still a feeling of insecurity due to the nature of the crime. In the letters, which were sent on April 16th to President Obama, Sen. Roger Wicker, and a local judge by the name of Sadie Holland, there was a particular statement written on each letter saying: “To see a wrong and not expose it, is to become a silent partner to its continuance.” Also, each letter ended with : “I am KC and I approve this message.” There has been an official arrest and charges filed against a Mississippi man by the name of James Everett Dutschke. He is 41 years old and does have ties to the people in which the letters were sent to. The history between Dutschke and the victims is very prolonged and seemed to show a falling out of some sort between them. Unfortunately, he was never too happy with “the way things were” and decided that he would sit down and write to them along with using ricin, a very toxic substance, to poison them. His official charges include possessing and using ricin. The criminal affidavit which will support the claim is to be unsealed after the preliminary hearing that is expected to occur later in the upcoming weeks. So far, no new details of the crimes have been released. Dutschke is also facing molestation charges in another case not related to his current charges that he is being held on. He has a very lengthy criminal record and stated that he believes all the media and exposure will “thrust him into the limelight.” Stay tuned for updates on the outcome of this case.
